What “Loose Skin” Can Look Like
Everyone defines it differently, but here’s a simple way to think about the spectrum:
- Mild: A little softness or rippling when sitting or bending. Usually fades as swelling goes down.
- Moderate: Skin may not snap back as quickly, and there may be some folding or creasing in certain positions.
- Significant: More pronounced laxity, often from major weight changes, pregnancy, or naturally thin or less elastic skin.
Most patients who visit our awake liposuction clinics fall somewhere in the mild-to-moderate zone, and many tighten over time as the body heals.
